BERLIN, July 7, 2017 – eKomi, the world’s largest provider of user-validated ratings and reviews, has just released its StarInsights™ (Ref.# 20062017) study in reference to Insurance Comparison Websites in Spain, UK, France and the USA. The study uses publicly released results available in Google Shopping Seller and its aggregated system of ratings and reviews up to date.
Comparison Insurance Websites – Market Overview
The Telegraph published recently an article about Comparison sites stating that their popularity is based on the easy to use and consumer friendly state of mind. It points out the importance of a good use, and upright methodology, especially when comparing various websites among each other. For those who know how and when to use them, it is the right place to get the best deal. Among others, insurance comparison websites assist people in getting the best price, whether they are buying car insurance, health, travel cover or services such as energy.
eKomi analysts examined multiple parameters that influence customers when searching for the top insurance comparison websites. User interface experience is of high importance. In addition, the abundance and possibility of personalisation of quotations from different insurance companies make customers feel more content. Furthermore, offering them different prices is always something important. The websites are also often required to be able of considering extra parameters, like age, previous accident record, and payment options. Needless to stress out the importance of being transparent, accurate and impartial when offering an online quote to a prospective or existent customer.
All the above are undoubtedly the factors that lead and drive the consumers to choose or at least help them decide which insurance company and deal to pick up. But, as Forbes advises in a recent article, this procedure of comparing quotes and services shall be repeated every time insurance renewal is needed since new rates apply every year and companies constantly change their policies and rates.
So the question is, how can Insurance Comparison websites retain their customers, obtain new ones and hold the asset in the highly competitive insurance market?
The Crucial Importance of Ratings and Reviews
As many merchants now recognize, customer ratings and reviews are absolutely essential for success in the online marketplace – especially when the results are integrated into Google search results. Although a comprehensive, user-friendly site is obviously crucial, public reviews build trust before visitors even click the insurance comparison website’s link, significantly increasing its chances of receiving traffic.
Reviews and ratings also boost revenue-generating activities and inspire even more positive reviews – setting off a “virtuous cycle” in which a well-reviewed website’s popularity continues to skyrocket. Poor reviews, on the other hand, can set off a downward spiral: a site’s sudden disappearance from top search results can abruptly destroy its customer base.
A 2017 ZenDesk survey discussed in Forbes reported that a staggering 88 percent of customers make buying decisions based on online customer reviews. This makes it clear that publicly visible feedback from real customers is a key component in an online business success. And as Google’s search algorithms grow ever smarter, positive reviews and ratings are becoming especially vital in the heated competition for those all-important “above-the-fold” natural search rankings.
